I love making UI and low poly 3D Assets so this was a fun project to work on. This whole project took about 1 week to finish from prototyping to polish. Working in different software's was also pretty fun. Timeline: 5/25/25 - 5/29/25
This is a mobile game concept about going home! You are trapped in space and you need to navigate through the treacherous milky way. Will you make it? Time will tell... Avoid comets and debris to get to different checkpoints to continue your journey home.
Tools Being Used: Unity, Blender, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
I often like to use Figma to create blockouts/wireframes for UI to ensure a good user experience. This can also be a quick way to get feedback and iterate on designs before making it look nice.
Since galaxies and space make me think of the milky way, I went with a lighter tone to go with that. The darker tones are in purple as that's what comes to mind when I think of the night sky. Purple also contrasts well with yellow so it felt like a natural choice. For the font, I wanted to go for a more bubbly and friendly feel as I wanted to capture the cozy/casual aesthetic.
I then make an asset list (for this game, it was very short) and start making the models in Blender. It is always cool to see the project evolve little by little. VFX was also simple as I wanted to keep it inline with the low poly models. You can see the VFX in action below!
Probably my favorite part, taking the blockouts/wireframes and making it look aesthetically pleasing. Bringing all of the visions together with a cohesive style is incredibly rewarding and I hope players enjoy what they see.
Logos in different branding colors. Can be useful for press kits.
Here is a very short video of an animated mockup. It will showcase: startup, main menu animation, buttons states upon pressing, and transitions.
